Description

painted in the atelier of James Giles, with the `Hope-Edwardes' pattern of a cut fruit and flower sprays within an indented scrolling border,

Condition

There is a very small rim chip and a few minor losses to the gilding at the rim. The gilded flower sprays and cornucopiae have some minor rubbing and a few losses. There is some fire-specking visible in the plate well and on the underside of the plate.
