Description
dish with printed crescent mark in underglaze blue

decorated in Sevres style, the tureen, cover and ladle with the 'Earl Manvers' pattern of festoons of berried leaves around large puce scrolls, the ladle with a pink fruit spray, and a shell-shaped dish with the 'Hop Trellis' pattern with blue ground and inner turquoise caillouté ground borders
Condition
The tureen, cover and ladle have a little minor rubbing to the gilding rims. The cover also has a shallow rim chip approximately 3mm wide. The tureen base has a short crack, possibly a firing crack through the footrim. Also both shell handles each have a very small rim chip.
The dish has a little rubbing to the gilded ribbons and to the gilded ribbons binding the hop staves. There is also a shallow rim chip opposite the handle approximate 3mm wide and a very shallow chip or firing flaw to the rim approximately 5mm long.
