painted in Sevres style, probably by John Donaldson, with an allegory of Matrimony represented by a pair of putti with a dove and a cage, the reverse and cover with landscape panels,
Condition
There is a little minor rubbing to the gilding around the rim of the cover. There is a minor glaze chip to the footrim below the centre of the reserve with the putti. There is evidence of misfiring to the blue ground below the right handle.
