Description

  • 'Red Bull' cup with faux Meissen mark of crossed swords and 9. in underglaze blue

the cream jug of 'low Chelsea ewer' type, decorated with the 'Honeysuckle' or 'Hibiscus' pattern, one cup and saucer chrysanthemum-moulded, decorated in famille rose style with formal borders of leaves and flowers, a parrot pecking fruit in the centre, the other printed with the 'Red Bull' pattern enamelled in colours,

Condition

The jug has a very little rubbing to the green enamel on the leaves. There are two very small firing flaws (slightly discoloured) to the rim and a black speck just below the rim. 'Red Bull' cup and saucer: the cup has some sanding to one wide of the rim and both pieces have a very little wear to the black line around the rims. Inside the base of the cup there are some small black specks (firing imperfections). Moulded cup and saucer: there is a small shallow chip to the rim of the cup, approximately 3mm wide.
