A rare Caughley eye-bath, circa 1785-90,

printed in blue with cell borders and flower sprigs,

There is a minute chip or nick to the inner rim of the eye bath. Nearby there is a fine firing crack (visible only on the interior) into which the underglaze blue colour has run during manufacture.
