Condition
There is a minute chip or nick to the inner rim of the eye bath. Nearby there is a fine firing crack (visible only on the interior) into which the underglaze blue colour has run during manufacture.

For two eye bath models made by the Caughley factory, see Geoffrey Godden, Caughley and Worcester Porcelains, nos. 121 and 122. No. 121 (the same shape as this lot) is printed with the 'Fisherman' pattern. A similar one, although damaged, was sold by Bonhams, 8th September 2010, lot 168
