A rare Worcester fluted sauceboat circa 1753-54

- 14cm, 5 ½in
of fluted shape, the looped handle with an upper thumbrest, the sides moulded with Chinese landscapes within scroll-edged panels, a small panel with a flower below the lip, the individual features picked out in bright enamels, the interior painted with 'Precious Objects' around the rim, a flower spray in the base,
Condition
There is very minor rubbing to the enamels on the raised moulding, and a little wear to the enamelled flower spray in the base of the sauceboat. There is a firing crack to the inner rim of the handle below the thumbrest. There are some slightly discoloured small firing blemishes to one side of the sauceboat, around the rim and over the handle area.
