Condition
Pile ranges from closely sheared 1/10 inch to low to knotheads in areas of foldwear and oxidized dark blue-blacks (hair); scattered visible warp ties; scattered spot stains and surface dirt---recommend cleaning. Small breaks visible on reverse due to slightly dry foundation---this could be improved with cleaning. Rug should be rolled rather than folded---will be fine flat on a floor or wall.
Sides with very small remnants of purple silk selvages, now fraying slightly--recommend securing.
Ends missing outer guard stripes, now secured with binding stitch.
Soft, lustrous wool.
