Condition
Pile generally good, near original, almost 1/4 of an inch, with matting due to dirt and a light stain in the lower left corner. Should enhance with cleaning. Burlap bands glued to the reverse of all 4 sides. Two square areas, one on each side, approx. 15" each, reinserted (possibly to accommodate a column or architectural detail) with banding and glue on reverse. Very well executed, only visible on reverse. Supple handle, loose weave, lustrous wool, sound fabric and in good condition.
