the desk with a rectangular top above a frieze centered by a writing slide above a drawer on each side and flanked on each side by an open shelf above two pedestals, one fitted with a bank of three small drawers, the other fitted with a small drawer above a cupboard door on the front and reverse; each drawer and writing slide stamped with Roman numerals corresponding to each drawer divider. The refectory table centered by a frieze drawer and flanked by a writing slide on each side. 2 pieces. Some handles broken, restorations.

Condition

Overall good restored condition with some small chips, scuffs and wear to the leaf carved edges; the cupboard doors now fitted with a magnetic catch to the upper left interior corner and with later drawer pulls covering the original keyhole and lock; the lock plates to all drawers have been removed; some handles broken; overall with minor old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises. The refectory table in good restored condition with some small chips and scuffs to the molded edges and with some repaired chips; old repaired break to front right part of X stretcher at join with X, overall with some old marks, scratches scuffs and bruises.
