Condition

Overall good restored condition; the top with slight lifting to brass stringing of one short side; slight separations over lines of construction of molded edges; the underside with butterfly patches where two-plank top joins; bearers replaced and with some infilled holes where previous bearers were attached; locking mechanism replaced and shifted with subsequent infilled holes where previous mechanism was attached; the underside with a dark brown wash; the base in good condition with age cracks to veneers of square support over lines of construction; some old worm damage to underside of support; one panel of stem with vertical age crack to veneer; overall with some nicks, scuffs, and wear, especially to feet and to rope carved molding.
