the divided top with hinged panel opening to a compartmentalized interior and fitted with two inkwells, the sloping hinged panel opening to a large compartment before three small drawers; the case with molded and foliate engraved ivory-molded edges, the case inlaid with engraved ivory foliate marquetry.  Restorations.

Condition

Overall good restored condition; the hinged flap to back with small replaced section to ivory molded back right corner; the glass ink bottles with silvered metal tops and with wear and losses to slivering, glass bottles probably associated; the sloping panel with a horizontal age crack and with slight bowing; ivory edges with old glue repairs and with slight bowing; bowing to the ivory molded edges to bottom of case at sides and with small losses and replacements to corners; the engraved decoration in very good condition.
