Upper section with a paper label, inscribed. The Property of His Grace/ The Duke of Rutland/ Sale Wednesday 18th April 1934/ Purchased for Royal Co. by M. Keil. The backboard of upper section with charcoal number 9936/ 25. Alterations.

The flower heads to upper section possibly later. Lower section with a long later strip to the back of the right case side, Escutcheon to slant front replaced. Replaced escutcheon to keyholes of drawer fronts. Back left foot with later block, back feet with later brackets to back, overall with old marks, scratches, scuffs and bruises. Bearers possibly later, facing to right bearer replaced. Age cracks to paneled doors now stabilized. Right paneled door with later batten to back. With a later half-round strip affixed to front right door at join with left door.
