seated in dhyanasana, the right hand held in dhyanamudra and the other in bhumisparsamudra resting on his knee, his face in a manner of meditation with downcast eyes and with his hair in tight curls surmounted by an ushnisha, the stone of pale celadon tone, wood stand in the form of a double-lotus pedestal

Condition

The figure is in good condition with the exception of four neat drilled holes to the underside of the Buddha, patches of russet inclusion (the largest measuring 2 x 0.5cm) and natural nicks. The stone is of a more opaque grey tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
