carved seated on a raised pedestal with arms embracing his raised left leg, dressed in loose fitted robes falling into folds draping over the pedestal, his face with a contemplative expression with well-defined features, the stone of even celadon tone
Condition
The Luohan is in excellent condition with the exception of natural veining and associated flakes to the stone as seen in the raised knee of the figure, a 0.3 x 0.1 chip to the edge of the sleeve of the left hand, and another 0.4 x 0.1 cm chip to the base of the spinach jade lotus base. The stone is of a brighter celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
