the rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to an everted rim, decorated to the centre in bright cobalt-blue tones with the Three Friends of Winter (pine, bamboo and prunus blossom) issuing from a handled hexagonal jardinière on a rocky platform, all encircled by facetted panels of floral scrolls and cloud swirls against a diaper ground, the rim bordered with a trellis pattern, painted to the exterior with four separate peony sprays, the base with a double circle
Condition
The dish is in excellent condition with minimal glaze firing imperfections such as an iron spot to the right of the flower pot in the central medallion and negligible pinpricks across the surface.
