Description

  • bronze
cast standing four square with head slightly turned to the left, its large eyes and bushy eyebrows flanked by a pair of scrolled horns and a long mane, the bronze patinated to a reddish brown tone

Condition

The patina of the bronze ram is overall rubbed particularly to the extremities with traces of verdigris patches which appear green. The surface shows extensive scratchings with natural casting flaws such as a 1 x 0.5cm area of loss to the long mane falling over the shoulder of the animal.
