Description
- white-glazed porcelain
each with steep sides rising from a short straight foot to a slightly flaring rim the exterior decorated in anhua with two confronting five-clawed dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl amidst flames and above swirling waves, covered overall with a creamy ivory glaze, the base with apocryphal four-character Yongle marks in underglaze blue, wood stands
Condition
One bowl has a circa 13cm hairline running from the base of the interior to just under the rim of the exterior walls and another circa 3cm hairline running adjacent to it with associated flakes.
The other bowl has a circular area (0.5 x 0.4cm) of black dots under the glaze as a result of possible impurities in the clay.
Both bowls have minor glaze firing imperfections such as burst glaze bubbles.
