the facetted body rising from a barbed flared foot to a waisted bamboo-form neck and everted mouth, the shoulder applied with a long spout in the form of a phoenix head, painted on each side in bright enamels with panelled designs of floral branches issuing from rockwork and different diaper grounds, surmounted by a cover with foliate rim

Condition

The neck of the vase has been broken on a 7cm C-shape section on the right side of the ewer and restored. There are a few expected minor glaze gaps and light fritting to the edges around the body and the foot.
