the central section with six indented square panels reserved on a dotted ground of floral scrolls, each enclosing a shou character written in a different script, framed between bands of overlapping lotus petals, the trumpet neck with six panels of birds or butterflies amid floral blossoms, the barbed rim bordered with a band of floral scrolls, the splayed lower section decorated with flowers issuing from rockwork above a band of swirls

Condition

The gu vase is in excellent condition with the exception of kiln grits at the bottom of the vase and minor glaze firing imperfections such as iron spots and burst glaze bubbles.
