Description
- pale celadon jade
naturalistically carved in the form of a prunus blossom on gnarled budding prunus branches encircling the sides of the squat, circular washer, the stone in pale celadon tone with minimal russet inclusion, wood stand
Condition
The brush washer has flaked losses (circa 0.5 x 0.2cm) on one of the prunus flower heads and re-polished areas of possible losses to one of the twigs near the mouth of the washer. There are patches of nicks near the mouth and to the side of the washer due to natural properties of the stone. The stone is of a slightly more celadon tone than the catalogue illustration.
