seated on a tiered rectangular plinth with legs pendent, his hands held before the chest in dharmacakra mudra with uptala lotuses rising from his elbows, wearing a crown enclosing the high chignon and draped in a loose dhoti incised with flowers, his hair and downcast eyes highlighted with blue pigments and his lips in red, his neck and chest with jewelled festooned necklaces

Condition
The figure is in good condition with well-preserved gilding except for several tiny scratches particularly on the rectangular plinth on which the figure is seated, some nicks to the extremities of the casting, light denting to the rear of the stand and the back of the figure, and six tiny holes around the side of the base. The blue pigment on the figure's hair is largely conserved but the highlights on the figure's facial features and jewels are rubbed and only traces of paint remain.
