A DATED CARVED STONE SEAL QING DYNASTY, GUANGXU PERIOD, DATED 1904

of flattened irregular form, carved on both sides with a Chinese inscription with a apocryphal signature reading Shuru (Zhao Shuru) and dated to the thirtieth year of Guangxu (corresponding to 1904), the seal face inscribed with four seal characters reading biyan yinyuan (marriage or connection between the brush and inkstone), the stone of a warm rich golden tone mottled with cream inclusions

The seal is in excellent condition with the exception of very minor surface scratchings and tiny nicks to the edges at the base.
