Description

the short tapering foot rising to the rounded sides and everted rim, the exterior moulded with overlapping lotus petals and the interior moulded in relief with a dragon flying amongst cloud and flame scrolls, covered in an even pale celadon glaze, the base with a six-character Yongzheng seal mark

Condition

The interior of the dish has a 0.3 x 0.3cm discoloured burst glaze bubble and several iron spots (circa 0.1 x 0.1cm) along the walls. The rim has several spots where the glaze pulls (the largest area measuring 0.3 x 0.3cm) and a circa 2cm glazed-over body crack extending to a 7cm hairline which is also visible from the exterior. The exterior has a burst glaze bubble and minor chips to the footring.
