Description

  • bronze
the flattened circular body rising from a spreading foot to a waisted neck flanked by a pair of chilong handles above applied animal masks, the front and back face left plain within a raised circular border,  patinated to a reddish brown tone, the base with a four-character Jiaqing mark within a recessed square

Condition

There is a circa 6.7cm scratch running from the lipped mouth to one side of the waisted neck and minor verdigris deposits around the animal masks but the moonflask is otherwise in excellent condition.
