each of rectangular section with rounded sides rising from a spreading foot to a flared rim, moulded in relief to each face with a stylised leafy lotus spray enclosed within a panel between two further panels of be-ribboned bajixiang (Eight Buddhist Emblems), the porcelain covered overall with a dark olive green glaze enhanced with gilding suggestive of gilt-bronze

The pair of vases is in excellent condition with the exception of wear to the gilding.
