the steep upright sides finely painted to the exterior with pairs of mandarin ducks swimming and flying amidst large orange lotus blooms, below a narrow register of underglaze blue dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, the base of the interior similarly decorated with a single pair of ducks in a lotus pond, below a band encircling the rim with lança characters, the base inscribed with a six-character Daoguang seal mark, wood stand and fitted box

The bowl is in excellent condition with the exception of minor glaze firing imperfections.
