- porcelain painted in underglaze cobalt-blue
the flattened circular body rising from a splayed rectangular foot to a waisted neck flanked by a pair of ruyi handles, moulded in low relief to the front and back face with a peach-shaped panel painted in rich cobalt-blue tones with bats hovering over fruiting peach sprays, reserved on a leafy floral scroll ground, the trimmed neck with a floral scroll below a spear-head border and a scroll band, the sides with similar floral scrolls and the foot with a classic-scroll band, inscribed on the recessed base with a six-character Qianlong seal mark
Condition
The neck of the moonflask has been reduced and there are minor glaze firing imperfections including iron spots and burst glaze bubbles and light glaze scartches.
