Description

the rounded sides rising from a slightly tapering foot, the interior painted in rich cobalt tones with a sinuous dragon in profile holding a flaming pearl encircled by three additional dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls amid swirling flames, the exterior similarly decorated with three pacing dragons in pursuit of flaming pearls, all reserved on a mottled yellow ground, the base with an apocryphal six-character Hongzhi mark within a double circle
Condition
The dish has extensive minor surface scratchings to the interior with general rubbing of the glaze. The foot has a 0.5 x 0.3cm nick which has been repaired with one chip (0.1 x 0.2cm) missing. There are other minor glaze firing imperfections include iron spots, burst glaze bubbles etc.
