Description

  • gilt-bronze cloisonne enamel
raised on three ruyi feet, decorated in bright cloisonné enamels with three large lotus blossoms and associated foliate scrolls against a turquoise ground, all enclosed within two bands of linked ruyi heads, the base similarly decorated with foliate scrolls with three flower heads surrounding a gilt-bronze square incised with a four-character Qianlong mark and a character jing (compete)

Condition

The censer is in general good condition with the exception of pinprick holes, minor nibbling to the gilt-bronze edges and slightly deformed and scratched ruyi feet.
