seated with legs crossed, dressed in long flowing robes opened at her chest to reveal a pendant necklace, holding a scroll in one hand, her face with a benign expression and downcast eyes, patinated to a rich toffee tone, bamboo stand and wood box

Condition

The guanyin is in good condition with the exception of a 0.2 x 0.1cm loss to the tip of the drapery atop the piled-up hair of the figure, and a minute chip in the drapery folds under the hand. The bamboo is of a richer and brighter toffee tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
