all carved from an even white stone, one with a long gently curved shaft terminating in a ruyi head containing a shou character; another with a long straight shaft terminating in a head carved with a cluster of peaches and lingzhi sprays; the third with a needle-shaped shaft carved on the end with a pair of cash coins framed by stylised foliage

Condition

The three hairpins are all in excellent condition. The stones are of a paler tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
