of oval form with straight sides rising from a short footring, carved to the top with leafy narcissus flowers issuing from jagged rockwork, the stone of pale celadon tone, wood stand
Condition
The box is in very good condition with the exception of a 0.3 x 0.2cm inclusion and a 0.1 x 0.1cm nick to the footring, a 0.2 x 0.1cm bruise and another 0.1 x 0.1 nick to the box where the cover is secured. There is a streak of uneven textured area (measuring circa 7 x 0.5) running from the interior of the box to its sides and base with minute dots and nicks as a result of natural property of the stone. The cover has a circa 0.3cm scratch to the underside and a circa 1.5 x 0.5cm area of light russet inclusion to the exterior at the side.
