one pendant carved in the form of a reticulated leafy stem bearing two large ruyi-shaped lingzhi, the stone of pale celadon tone with a brown suffusion cleverly incorporated into one of the lingzhi heads; the other shaped as a butterfly with two melons and a flower all nestled within large flat leaves, the stone of white tone with russet inclusions; and a snuff bottle carved as an ovoid melon with leafy stem curled around the top of the fruit, a beetle perched on the wrinkled skin of the melon, the stone of grey russet tone with darker inclusion
Condition
The lingzhi carving is in good condition with a possible 2mm scratch on one of the branches to the front face and a circular patch (1cm x 1cm) of skin residue near the roots of the branches.
The melon pebble with minute chips to the extremities of the carving, a light bruise on a stalk near the small melon fruit, and remains of natural skin on one of the tendrils between the two melon fruits and on the reverse on the leaf.
The snuff bottle is in good condition with the exception of bruising to the coral stopper and rubbing to the extremities of the carving.
