the God of Longevity carved standing in loose-fitting robes, his hands holding a leafy peach branch surmounted by a bat which extends over his right shoulder around his head, to his side a deer grasping lingzhi in its mouth reclining with one foreleg raised, the stone of pale celadon tone with russet veining, wood stand
Condition
The carving has a missing twig of the peach branch round the head of the figure giving rise to unpolished chips on the peach branch and to the back of Shoulao's head. The stone with minimal black spots rising to the surface, and of a slightly more celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
