comprising: a jade tool, three scabbard slides, an inscribed bead, a jade huang and three jade pendants
Condition
The jade tool has various areas of natural flakes to the stone including a 1cm x 0.4cm w-shaped loss to the top edge and other loss areas near the hole of suspension, the stone with natural veining and associated loss.
One scabbard slide has a circular patch of brown skin residue to one end with associated flakes and nibbling along the edges but otherwise in good condition.
The other scabbard slide is in good condition.
And another scabbard slide has a 2mm x 1mm loss and several nibbling to the edges.
The bead has an area of loss to one of the corners as a result of natural property of the stone but otherwise in good condition.
The huang is in good condition with the exception of minor nibbling in the curved edges, the stone of even pale celadon colour with the exception of a streak of black impurity running diagonally across one end and two small flecks of russet inclusion.
The 'shuangxi' pendant of opaque cream tone was possibly burnt/cooked showing extensive calcification, natural flecks of russet mottling to the tips of the butterfly wings and minor nibbles to the edges of the carving.
The 'axe-head' pendant of general good condition.
The kui dragon pendant shows signs of wear with nicks at the bottom which were re-polished, natural veining on the surface with associated flakes.
