- gilt-bronze cloisonne enamel
the deep U-shaped body rising from a waisted foot to a flared rim, brightly enamelled around the exterior with four large lotus blooms borne on a lotus scroll, all reserved on a bright turquoise ground above a moulded gilt-bronze lotus-lappet band, the foot skirted with a floral scroll band, the gilt-bronze rim incised with a six-character Qianlong mark
Condition
The jardinière is warped at the rim with area of loss just below the flared rim, there are three major area of depression with associated filled-in losses possibly caused by application of external pressure (circa 3 x 2.5cm, 2.5 x 1.5cm and 5.5 x 3cm respectively). Pinprick holes and other minor losses occur across the surface of the jardinière. The footring is also slightly deformed.
