Description

  • porcelain
each with rounded sides tapering to a straight foot, the interior painted in underglaze cobalt-blue with squirrels scurrying amongst fruiting melon vines within double circle borders, the exterior incised with four leafy lotus sprays, encircled around the rim with a classic scroll band, the base with an apocryphal six-character Jiajing mark within a double circle

Condition

The pair of dishes are in general good condition with the exception of minor surface scratching and burst glaze bubbles.
