Description
- lacquer
carved to the centre with a sage, ladies and attendants within a fenced garden with a pavilion, jagged rockwork, wutong trees and plantains against a yellow diaper ground, all within a lotus scroll border around the well, the exterior carved with gnarled branches of floral blossom reserved on a diaper ground, the base lacquered black

Condition
The dish has two areas (1.5 x 0.3cm) of loss with associated cracks, and other minor nicks and cracks measuring circa 1cm near the rim to the top. Two scratches measuring 1cm and 0.5cm is also visible near the top rim. Minor nicks and chips to the lacquer is visible in areas such as a circa 0.3 x 0.1cm chip to the top leaves of the bush near the lower left corner. There is minor nibbling and scratches to the inner border of the central medallion. The underside has four circa 0.5 x 0.5cm areas of loss to the black lacquer.
