- bamboo
carved in the round, the immortal seated on a pierced rock and dressed in loose hanging robes, his face wearing a benign smile and depicted with long ear lobes, his left hand raised holding a string of pairs of cash coins issuing from the mouth of a three-legged toad perched between his bare feet, patinated to a reddish-brown tone
Condition
The figure is in general good condition with the exception of vertical age cracks near the bottom, pinprick holes across the surface and minor nicks to the left ear lobe. The bamboo is of a slightly brighter reddish tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
