Description

  • porcelain
of oblong section with indented corners, rising from a spreading foot to a lipped rim, the exterior brightly enamelled to each face with a shaped cartouche enclosing a single leafy floral spray, all within a band of demi-florets dispersed on a trellis diaper ground, the foot and the rim bordered with a cell pattern, with matching decoration on the domed cover and the stand, the cover surmounted by a knop in the form of a coiled serpentine

Condition

The tureen, cover and stand are all in good overall condition with the exception of light rubbing to the enamels, in particular to the top of the stand, a 7mm., wide flake to the edge of the rim of the stand, and minor glaze firing imperfections and fritting to all three pieces.
