the two modelled standing on a bed of scrolling clouds, one wearing a long flowing celadon-glazed robe with one arm holding a spray of leafy lotus blossom and the other arm wrapped around the shoulders of the other figure wearing a blue robe, the glazed faces with almost identical facial features including a wide nose, broad smile and wrinkled skin, the half-bald heads unglazed

Condition

A 0.5 x 0.5cm iron spot to the shoulder of the celadon-glazed figure; a section of the lotus stem is lost, small chips (max. 0.5 x 0.5cm) across the surface, nibbling and futher chips to the extremities. Minor glaze firing imperfections include burst air bubbles, iron spots and firing cracks (0.3-2cm).
