modelled in the form of a seated monkey, depicted with large rounded aubergine-glazed eyes and rounded nose and ears, its fur covered in a thin wash of manganese yellow, the short spout shaped as a peach fruit cupped in its hands, set at the back with a curved handle in the form of green gnarled pine below another circular flaring opening, wood stand
Condition
The handle has been broken and re-stuck, an 8cm hairline along the spine of the monkey, a 1.5 x 0.5cm section of the pine trunk is lost with traces of glue at the clean break, minor chips and nibbling along the edges of the spout and other glaze firing imperfections.
