the bird reclining with two young standing by its tucked feet, depicted with large bulging eyes and short beak below a coxcomb, the feathers splashed with bright shades of aubergine, green and yellow, the back with a circular aperture and the tail applied with a curved spout, fitted wood stand
Condition
The original cover now lost; the coxcomb, beak and jaws restored; some glaze loss to the curved edge of the handle; minor glaze firing imperfections such as burst glaze bubbles, iron spots and short firing cracks.
