Description

each glazed in yellow, green and aubergine, modelled seated on pierced pedestal, their clasped hands covered in the voluminous sleeves and holding a hu tablets, dressed in loose official robes decorated with butterflies and florets on a stippled ground and falling into layered frills at the bottom
Condition
From left to right in catalogue image.
The first with restoration and over-painting to an area to the front of the base measuring approximately 40mm long. The base with two large cracks, the first cutting entirely across the base and approximately 35mm up to the reverse; the other cutting across approximately 28mm of the base and 34mm up the reverse.
The second with its hu tablet completely detached. The head broken off and re-stuck and a large crack cutting across the base and part of the reverse.
The third with the head broken off and re-stuck, with extensive over-painting to the face and shoulders and an area of restoration to the left side of the base, measuring approximately 45mm. The hu tablet broken and re-stuck.
Each with losses to facial hair and wear to gilding on hat. Minor firing imperfections and wear.
