each standing with legs apart on a low plinth, dressed in a full armour under a loose fitted robe decorated with stylised chrysanthemum blooms, both hands raised to the chest, one carrying a dragon seal while the other with a square bundle, the face with a benign expression beneath an official cap, glazed in green, yellow, turquoise, blue, aubergine and pink

One figure from the pair has the ends of the tassel chipped and lost with a clean break, the finger tips and sections of the bundle restored and oversprayed, minor scratchings especially to the back of the figure and other small chips to the extremities. The other from the pair had both hands broken and re-stuck with extensive overpaint and overspray around the joints. There is a 1.9 x 0.5cm chip to the base, other small chips at the extremities and light scratches predominantly to the back of the right sleeve. The other figure had both hands possibly lost and restuck with visible cracks at the joints. The extremities of the ribbon on the hat is chipped and lost in clean breaks. The base with a 0.7 x 0.3cm chip.
