comprising a pair of immortals, each modelled standing on a rectangular plinth, dressed in loose fitted robes decorated with fruits and flowers, one depicted with a broad smile and neatly combed beard, wearing a high cap suspending two tassels falling over the shoulder and holding a scroll in his hands, while the other with delineated facial features and carrying a basket of flowers; and a single immortal, similarly depicted standing on a rectangular plinth, his left hand raised holding a fly-whisk, the delineated face with a joyful expression
Condition
The head, left ear, hat and right hand of the figure with a basket were broken and re-stuck with extensive overpaint and overspray around the seams. Three finger tips and the handle of the basket is lost in clean breaks and the end of the left sleeve is also restored. There are light surface scratchings across the surface.
The figure holding a fly-whisk is in relatively good condition with sections of the fly-whisk handle missing.
The figure in official robes has large sections of his beard, the back of the head (including the tassels from the hat), his hands and the scroll, edges and corners of the plinth heavily restored. Sections of the hat tassel are lost and chipped.
Other minor glaze firing imperfections include short firing cracks, burst glaze bubbles and iron spots etc.
