each with shallow rounded sides rising from a short tapering foot to a broad everted rim, brightly enamelled to the interior with a beautiful maiden and a young boy within a fenced garden

Condition
The first with two rim cracks (at approximately 10 o'clock measuring 42mm; and 4 o'clock measuring 26mm); one restored rim chip (approximately 20mm x 4mm) with associated surrounding overpainting; and numerous other small chips and frits to rim (the largest approximately 10mm wide).
The second with one rim crack at approximately 10 o'clock (measuring around 40mm); and two breaks to the rim around 1-2 o'clock, re-stuck with traces of overpainting as visible in catalogue image. Extensive chips and frits to the rim (the largest chip measuring approximately 6mm wide).
Both dishes with some flaking to enamels and minor surface wear. The foot rings with old chips and some adhered sand and grit.
