the baluster-shaped body decorated with four rectangular panels enclosing leafy floral branches including chrysanthemum, prunus and peony issuing from pierced rocks, each framed by large ruyi heads and reserved on a trellis diaper ground, the shoulder set with six green mask loop handles above scrolling peonies, encircled around the neck with upright pointed motifs and the foot with lappets, the domed cover with radiating cloud scrolls topped by a finial in the shape of a recumbent Buddhist lion

Condition
This brightly decorated jar and cover are in very good overall condition with the exception of a 5cm., crescent-shaped repair to the rim of the cover, and minor glaze firing imperfections including three short firing hairlines to the base, iron-spot glaze impurities, burst glaze bubbles and minor glaze scratches.
