Description
- stoneware
heavily potted with deep rounded sides rising from a steeply tapered foot to an everted rim, the interior moulded with a ferocious dragon in pursuit of a flaming pearl, freely carved around the well with scrolling leafy motifs, the exterior moulded with upright pointed lappets, covered overall in an olive green glaze thinning at the edges and leaving a buff-orange ring at the base
Condition
The dish is in good overall condition with the exception of a light polish around the rim, a small glaze firing line to the left front leg of the moulded dragon, light rubbing to the glaze on the interior, light glaze scratches and minor glaze firing imperfections including small glaze pulls and iron spots.
