Description

  • porcelain
of bell shape rising from a tapering foot to a slightly flaring rim, one cup finely enamelled with leafy peony branches, the other with rose, narcissus and magnolia, all accompanied by poetic inscriptions and seals, the base inscribed with a six-character Tongzhi mark

Condition

One cup has two chips along the footring (the largest measuring 0.5 x 0.2cm) and the other has two minute crack/chip to the footring (circa 0.2cm). Both cups are in excellent condition with the exception of very minor enamel loss and glaze firing imperfections including burst glaze bubbles.
